While the vault is designed to lock automatically after a period of inactivity to ensure maximum security, you should get into the habit of locking it manually when you step away from your desk.

1. In File Explorer, right-click anywhere inside the open Personal Vault folder (or right-click the Personal Vault icon itself).
2. Select Lock Personal Vault from the context menu.
3. The vault will instantly close, and the icon will revert to its locked state.
