How to Check Available Disk Space in Linux

The df (Disk Free) command provides a quick overview of all mounted filesystems and their free space.

Using df

1. Open your terminal.
2. Type df -h and press Enter.
3. The -h flag makes the output “human-readable,” displaying sizes in Gigabytes (G) or Megabytes (M) instead of raw blocks.
4. Look at the “Avail” column to see your free space.
