How to Enable Hardware Acceleration in Chrome

Hardware acceleration offloads graphics-intensive tasks to your computer’s GPU, making Chrome run smoother.

Turning on Hardware Acceleration

  1. Click the three vertical dots and select Settings.
  2. Click System on the left sidebar.
  3. Toggle the switch next to Use hardware acceleration when available.
  4. Click the Relaunch button to restart Chrome and apply the changes.
