Developer Mode on iOS grants access to advanced settings and allows the installation of unsigned applications directly onto the device for testing purposes. While crucial for app developers, leaving this mode enabled on a daily driver can expose the device to severe security risks and malicious software. This guide details how to completely disable Developer Mode and secure your iPhone.
Prerequisites
This process requires access to your iPhone. You must know the device passcode, as iOS requires it to confirm critical security changes.
Disable Developer Mode
Open the Settings App
Unlock your iPhone and launch the Settings app from the home screen.
Navigate to Privacy & Security
Scroll down through the settings menu and tap on Privacy & Security.
Locate Developer Mode
Scroll to the very bottom of the Privacy & Security screen. Under the “Security” section, tap on Developer Mode.
Toggle the Setting Off
