When you are creating a new account on a website, Microsoft Edge attempts to help secure your digital identity. The moment you click on the “Create Password” text box, Edge will automatically generate a highly complex, randomized password (like xY7!pL9$Qz2w) and aggressively suggest it in a drop-down menu hovering right over the text field.
While using unique, complex passwords is a fundamental security best practice, Edge’s built-in generator is incredibly annoying if you already use a dedicated, third-party password manager (like Bitwarden, 1Password, or LastPass). How to Turn Off Password Suggestions in Edge
You must disable the specific feature within your Profile’s password settings.
