How to Customise the Control Centre on iPhone

The Control Centre Vector

The Control Centre on iOS provides immediate access to essential system toggles, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and screen brightness. By default, Apple populates this interface with a standard set of controls. However, every user’s workflow is different. Relying on the default layout often means wasting time digging into the Settings app for features you use daily, such as the Magnifier, Screen Recording, or the Apple TV Remote.

How to Customise the Control Centre Layout

You can completely modify the Control Centre by adding, removing, and reordering the available shortcuts to suit your exact needs.

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Scroll down and tap on Control Centre.
3. Under the Included Controls section, you will see the shortcuts currently active. To remove a shortcut, tap the red minus icon next to it, then tap Remove.
4. To add a new shortcut, scroll down to the More Controls section and tap the green plus icon next to the desired feature (e.g., Screen Recording or Dark Mode).
5. To reorder how they appear, touch and hold the three horizontal lines (the grabber icon) next to any active control, and drag it up or down the list.

The next time you swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen, your newly customised Control Centre will be immediately available.
