How to Disable the Windows 11 Focus Session (Clock App) Integration in the Action Center

In Windows 11, when you click on the clock in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar, a large flyout menu opens displaying your notifications and a calendar. Below the calendar, Microsoft has integrated a massive “Focus” block. This section allows you to start a timer, linking directly with the built-in Alarms & Clock app to begin a “Focus Session,” muting notifications for a set period.

While productivity tools are useful, if you never use the Windows Clock app for focus timers, this large block of UI simply wastes space and clutters your notification center. If you want a cleaner, more streamlined calendar flyout, you can easily disable the Focus Session integration.

How to Remove Focus Sessions from the Action Center

You can hide the Focus block directly from the main Windows 11 Settings app.

  1. Click the Start button and select the Settings gear icon (or press Windows Key + I on your keyboard).
  2. In the left-hand navigation pane, click on System.
  3. In the main window on the right, click on Focus (this is usually located right below the Notifications setting).
  4. On the Focus settings page, look under the “Related settings” section at the bottom.
  5. Look for the toggle switch labelled Show focus in notification center.
  6. Click the toggle switch to turn it Off.

The change is applied immediately. You do not need to restart your computer. Click the time and date in the bottom-right corner of your taskbar to open the calendar flyout. The massive Focus block at the bottom will be completely gone, leaving you with a much cleaner interface that only displays your notifications and the actual calendar grid.
