Windows 11 includes a feature called “Content adaptive brightness control” (CABC) that automatically dims or brightens your screen based on what is being displayed to save battery. This can be very distracting.
How to Stop Automatic Dimming
- Open Settings (Windows Key + I).
- Click on System > Display.
- Under “Brightness & color”, click the small arrow next to the Brightness slider to expand the options.
- Uncheck the box next to “Change brightness automatically when lighting changes” and “Help improve battery by optimizing the content shown and brightness”.
