While Microsoft offers a Media Creation Tool, using Rufus to create a Windows 11 bootable USB is faster and gives you advanced options, like bypassing the TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot requirements for older hardware.
How to Use Rufus
- Download the official Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft’s website.
- Download and open Rufus.
- Select your USB drive under “Device” (it must be at least 8GB).
- Under “Boot selection”, click SELECT and choose your downloaded ISO file.
- Click START. A prompt will appear allowing you to bypass Windows 11 hardware requirements. Check the boxes you need and click OK to format the drive.
