How to Disable Feedback Prompts in Windows 11

The Intrusive Surveys

Windows 11 includes a built-in application called the “Feedback Hub,” designed to allow users to report bugs directly to Microsoft engineers. However, Microsoft frequently abuses this system by proactively generating survey pop-ups. If you finish installing a major update or if you use a new feature like Copilot for the first time, Windows will randomly throw a large notification in the bottom right corner of your screen asking, “How likely are you to recommend Windows 11 to a friend?” If you are a professional trying to work, these constant interruptions demanding free QA labor are incredibly annoying. You must disable the automated prompts.

How to Turn Off Feedback Prompts

You can permanently silence the survey engine via the diagnostic settings.

  1. Click the Start Menu and type Settings, or press the Windows Key + I.
  2. In the left-hand sidebar, click on Privacy & security.
  3. In the main window, scroll down and click on Diagnostics & feedback.
  4. Scroll down to the “Feedback” section.
  5. Look for the dropdown menu labeled “Feedback frequency.”
  6. Click the dropdown menu (which is likely set to “Automatically” or “Always”) and select Never.

A Quiet Workspace

The change is instantaneous. Windows 11 will immediately shut down the background scheduling script that generates the surveys. The operating system will never again interrupt your workflow to ask for a rating or a review. The Feedback Hub app itself remains installed, so you can still open it manually if you legitimately need to report a critical system bug.
