Unlike third-party applications, the App Store is a core system app on iOS and iPadOS. It cannot be permanently deleted, but it can be accidentally hidden or restricted.
How to Restore the App Store
If you cannot find the icon, it is likely disabled in your Screen Time settings.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on Screen Time.
- Select Content & Privacy Restrictions.
- Tap on iTunes & App Store Purchases.
- Ensure that Installing Apps is set to Allow. If it is set to “Don’t Allow”, the App Store icon will be completely hidden from your home screen and App Library.
