The Intrusive AI
The Apple Watch features a dedicated “Siri” watch face. Rather than simply showing you the time, this specific face attempts to act as a proactive assistant, stacking dynamic “cards” on your screen based on what the artificial intelligence thinks you need right now. It might show your upcoming calendar appointment, the current weather, and the sunset time. However, it also frequently injects useless suggestions, like a giant card begging you to “Breathe” or suggesting you open the Photos app to look at a random memory from three years ago. If you love the Siri watch face but hate the random, intrusive AI guesses, you can explicitly disable the suggestions.
How to Turn Off Siri Suggestions on the Watch Face
You can customize exactly which cards the Siri watch face is allowed to display via the watch settings.
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Ensure you are on the My Watch tab at the bottom left of the screen.
- Scroll down the main list and tap on Clock.
- Scroll down and tap on Siri Face Data Sources.
- You will see a massive list of every app installed on your watch. Scroll to the very top.
- Look for the master toggle switch labeled Siri Suggestions.
- Toggle this switch to the Off position.
A Reliable Assistant
The change takes effect instantly. The Siri watch face will immediately purge all the random AI guesses from your wrist. It will continue to function beautifully as a dynamic assistant, but it will now only display hard data from the specific apps you have allowed on that same menu (like concrete calendar events or active timers), rather than trying to proactively guess your mood.
