If you hate the default Arial font in Google Docs, you don’t have to change it manually every time you create a new document. You can set a custom default font for all future files.
How to Change the Default Font
- Open a Google Doc and type some text.
- Highlight the text and change the font, size, and styling to your exact preference.
- With the text still highlighted, click Format > Paragraph styles > Normal text > Update ‘Normal text’ to match.
- Finally, click Format > Paragraph styles > Options > Save as my default styles.
