When you are auditing a massive, geometrically complex corporate directory within Google Contacts, scrolling through thousands of alphabetized nodes to locate your direct superior or primary client is mathematically inefficient. To force the Google engine to execute an algorithmic priority override, pinning specific profiles to the absolute top of the visual matrix regardless of alphabetical logic, you must deploy the Star (Favorites) vector.
Executing the Priority Override (Desktop Web)
The desktop browser interface allows for rapid execution of the Star vector directly from the primary list view, without opening the individual contact architecture.
- Open your web browser and navigate to the Google Contacts interface.
- Locate the specific contact node you wish to mathematically elevate.
- Hover your mouse cursor directly over the contact row. You will see a geometric cluster of icons algorithmically spawn on the right side of the row.
- Click the Star icon (it visually resembles a five-pointed star).
- The engine will instantly execute a visual structural shift. The star will turn blue (or yellow, depending on your UI theme), and the contact will be duplicated into a new, locked Starred contacts section at the absolute top of the primary directory list.
