When you are architecting a corporate communications hierarchy and you must grant an executive assistant absolute administrative control over a CEO’s address book, sharing a single password is a catastrophic security vulnerability. To force the Google Workspace engine to execute a secure, cryptographic handover of administrative rights without compromising the core account, you must deploy the Contact Delegation vector.
Initializing the Delegation Engine
Google Contacts possesses a deeply integrated role-based access control (RBAC) matrix. However, this absolute geometric vector is strictly limited to Google Workspace (G Suite) enterprise environments. You cannot mathematically delegate access using a free, consumer @gmail.com account.
- Open your desktop web browser and navigate directly to the Google Contacts interface while logged into the primary (target) account. Note: This vector cannot be executed via the mobile application.
- Look at the absolute top-right corner of the interface. Locate the Settings icon (it visually resembles a mechanical gear).
- Click this icon to deploy the core system menu.
- Select Delegate access from the drop-down matrix.
Executing the Access Vector
- A targeted dialogue window will algorithmically spawn. Click the Invite delegate button.
- You must now input the exact, absolute email address of the subordinate user (the assistant). The Google engine will only accept email addresses that exist within the exact same organizational domain matrix (e.g., you cannot delegate an @digitash.com directory to an external @vendor.com address).
- Click the Send button.
The Subordinate Interface
The exact millisecond you execute the command, the Google engine rewrites the permissions matrix. The subordinate user will receive an automated algorithmic notification.
- When the subordinate logs into their own Google Contacts dashboard, a new geometric node will spawn in the left-hand navigation sidebar, labeled Delegated contacts.
- Clicking this node allows the assistant to algorithmically view, edit, add, or brutally delete entries within the CEO’s database. Every mathematical change executed by the subordinate is instantly synced to the primary account, maintaining perfect geometric parity without ever sharing a master password.
