The GPU Telemetry Capture Vector
When you require a high-resolution, pixel-perfect documentation of a complex UI workflow on iPadOS—such as demonstrating a multi-touch gesture in Procreate or recording a live Keynote presentation—static screenshots are mathematically insufficient. You must instruct the core Darwin kernel to execute a continuous interception of the graphics processor. This operation seizes the live, 60fps output on the X/Y grid, compiles every visual transition, and writes the stream directly to the internal solid-state drive as an `.mp4` video payload, completely bypassing the need for an external capture card.
How to Screen Record on iPad
Apple engineered the capture architecture on iPadOS to mirror the iPhone logic exactly; it is triggered exclusively via a dedicated daemon housed within the swipe-down Control Center matrix.
1. Phase 1: Inject the Daemon into Control Center:
* If you have never executed a recording on this specific hardware, the daemon is mathematically hidden.
* Unlock the iPad and launch the master Settings app (the grey gear icon).
* In the left-hand navigation sidebar, tap explicitly on Control Center.
* Look at the main pane. Scroll down to the “More Controls” list.
* Locate the specific row labelled Screen Recording.
* Tap the stark green plus (+) icon next to it. The OS instantly elevates the daemon into the active “Included Controls” block.
2. Phase 2: Summon the Execution Matrix:
* Navigate to the specific app or digital canvas you intend to capture.
* Swipe down violently from the absolute top-right corner of the iPad screen (where the battery percentage telemetry is located).
* The Control Center UI will slide over your active application.
3. Phase 3: The Execution Trigger (The Countdown):
* Locate the newly injected Screen Recording icon (a solid white circle enclosed within a thin, hollow circle).
* The Audio Override: If you must inject microphone narration into the `.mp4` payload, press and hold the icon for 1 second, then tap the grey Microphone icon to turn it red (Microphone On).
* Tap the Record icon once.
* The icon will mutate, displaying a 3… 2… 1 mathematical countdown. Immediately tap anywhere outside the Control Center overlay to dismiss it, ensuring your capture begins on a clean UI.
4. Phase 4: The Annihilation Sequence (Stopping the Capture):
* The Live Indicator: A small, stark red recording icon will persistently spawn in the absolute top-right corner of the iPad menu bar, confirming the GPU is actively writing data to the SSD.
* When the workflow is complete, tap that red icon at the top of the screen.
* A severe modal will appear: “Stop Screen Recording?”
* Tap Stop. The iPadOS kernel finalizes the video compilation and drops the high-resolution `.mp4` payload directly into your native Photos app.
