How to Disable Tips and Tricks in Windows 11

The Notification Spam

Windows 11 is designed to constantly educate users on its features. By default, the operating system routinely monitors your workflow. If it thinks you could be doing something more efficiently, it will throw a pop-up notification into the bottom right corner of your screen offering “tips, tricks, and suggestions.” This can range from suggesting you try the Edge browser to reminding you about keyboard shortcuts you already know. If you are an experienced power user, these condescending pop-ups are highly distracting and break your focus. You must instruct the operating system to completely stop offering unsolicited advice.

How to Turn Off Tips and Tricks

You can permanently mute the educational notification system via the System settings.

  1. Click the Start Menu and type Settings, or press the Windows Key + I.
  2. In the left-hand sidebar, click on System.
  3. In the main window, click on Notifications.
  4. Scroll all the way down to the absolute bottom of the Notifications page.
  5. Click on Additional settings to expand the hidden menu.
  6. Locate the checkbox labeled “Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows.”
  7. Click the checkbox to completely remove the checkmark.

A Professional Interface

The change takes effect instantly. Windows 11 will completely terminate the background process responsible for generating educational pop-ups. You can navigate the operating system as fast as you want, completely uninterrupted. The notification center will now be reserved exclusively for actual application alerts, system errors, and emails, restoring a professional environment to your desktop.
