Group chats on iMessage can be overwhelming if people are constantly messaging. You can mute a specific group chat without muting your entire phone or leaving the group.
How to Hide Alerts
- Open the Messages app.
- Swipe left on the group chat you want to mute.
- Tap the purple icon with a bell crossed out (Hide Alerts).
- Alternatively, tap into the group chat, tap the group name at the top, and toggle on Hide Alerts. A crescent moon icon will appear next to the chat.
