If a client or colleague sends you an Excel file but you prefer working in Google Sheets, you can easily convert the file directly in Google Drive without losing your formulas or formatting.
How to Convert the File
- Upload the Excel file to your Google Drive.
- Double-click the file to open it in preview mode.
- Click Open with Google Sheets at the top of the screen.
- To save it permanently as a Google Sheet, click File and select Save as Google Sheets.
