How to Restore a Previous Version of a File in Google Drive

Google Drive automatically keeps older versions of your files. If you accidentally made unwanted changes, you can quickly revert to a previous state.

How to Restore a Version

  1. Right-click the file in Google Drive.
  2. Select Manage versions.
  3. Find the version you want, click the three vertical dots next to it, and select Download or use it as a reference to restore.
