How to Safely Extract Windows 11 ‘Audio Driver Realtek EQ Settings’ (Backup Custom Equalizer Profiles)

If you use the Realtek Audio Control app on Windows 11 to perfectly tune a custom 10-band equalizer for your specific gaming headset, you know how tedious it is to get the audio sounding just right. How to Safely Extract Windows 11 Realtek EQ Settings

You must use the Registry Editor to extract the exact Realtek Audio control sub-key.

1. Click the Start button, type regedit, and press Enter to launch the Registry Editor. (Click “Yes” on the UAC prompt).
2. Carefully navigate through the left-hand sidebar to this exact path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtek\Audio\RtkNGUI64\General
3. Note: If you don’t see RtkNGUI64, look for a similar folder named RAVCpl64 or RtkUWP, depending on your motherboard manufacturer.
4. Inside the General folder, look for a sub-folder (key) named CustomEQ or UserEQ. Click on it.
5. On the right side of the screen, you will see your custom profiles listed as binary data strings.
6. To extract the entire folder, right-click the CustomEQ folder on the left sidebar and select Export.
7. A “Save As” dialog will appear. Name the file MyRealtekBackup.reg and save it securely to a USB drive or your OneDrive.
