How to Disable the Google Chrome ‘Send to Your Devices’ Context Menu Option

If you use Google Chrome while logged into your Google Account, you might notice an option titled “Send to your devices” whenever you right-click on a web page or a hyperlink. This feature allows you to instantly beam a tab from your desktop computer directly to your smartphone or tablet.

While convenient for some, this feature clutters the already massive right-click context menu. Furthermore, if you share a desktop computer with family members or coworkers, they can easily spam your personal phone with web pages by accidentally clicking this option. You can disable this sharing feature entirely using Chrome’s hidden flags menu.

How to Remove the “Send to your devices” Option

You must turn off the cross-device routing flag to remove this context menu item.

1. Open the Google Chrome browser.
2. Click inside the address bar at the top of the screen.
3. Type the following exact command and press Enter: chrome://flags/#enable-send-web-message-cross-device (Note: Depending on your Chrome version, this flag might also be listed simply as #send-tab-to-self or #send-tab-to-self-v2).
4. The browser will load the “Experiments” page, highlighting the specific cross-device sharing setting in yellow.
5. Click the drop-down menu next to the highlighted setting (which will currently say “Default”).
6. Select Disabled from the drop-down list.
7. A large blue Relaunch button will appear at the bottom right of the window. Click it to restart Chrome.

Once the browser restarts, right-click on any webpage or link. You will see that the “Send to your devices” option has completely vanished from the context menu, streamlining your right-click experience and preventing unwanted tab sharing.
