How to Clear Text Formatting and Paste as Plain Text in Google Keep

When you copy a paragraph of text from a messy, heavily formatted web page (or a complex Microsoft Word document) and paste it into Google Keep, the application attempts to preserve the original styling. This means your simple notepad can suddenly become cluttered with massive bold headers, strange italicized fonts, embedded hyperlinks, and jarring background colors. How to Paste as Plain Text (The Best Method)

The easiest way to remove formatting is to prevent Google Keep from importing it in the first place. You can do this by using a specific keyboard shortcut when pasting.

• On a Windows PC: Instead of pressing Ctrl + V to paste, press Ctrl + Shift + V.
