The ISS acts as a space environment research laboratory housing the astronauts in space. The International Space Station is a combined project of several space agencies.
It is jointly participated by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos), Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), European Space Agency (ESA), Canadian Space Agency (CSA).
